I was so excited when I received the Advanced Breadmaking course voucher for Christmas! The Basic course was fab, so knew this one would be too. Jill is very patient and explains each stage based on your existing knowledge. It was really good to make things that you may not have considered, the brioche plait was lovely and tasted delicious. I love the fact that you only have 2 people in the class, it goes at the pace you both work to. We made a crown loaf to start, which got us back into breadmaking thinking, luscious teacakes, cheesy knot rolls, spiced brioche plait and pizza fingers! All amazing and all delicious. Jill & Gary are the perfect hosts and a great team, lunch was simple but absolutely spot on, relaxing and delicious.

I have had two super days learning to make bread with Bake it and Take it. My first course was the basic bread making course and the second was the advanced bread making day. Both days were thoroughly enjoyable and Jill was a great teacher, really friendly and incredibly helpful. Both days were fantastic and I would definitely recommend both courses! I can’t wait to go back for the pizza course.

My friend and I attended this course as we wanted something different to a spa day experience. We were not disappointed – we were greeted by Jill and Gary and made to feel at ease from the start. After coffee and homemade cookies we started making bread. We had a fabulous lunch and then made more scrumptious goodies. At the end of the day we had a huge haul of bread to take home together with a cookbook and apron. I would recommend this course to everyone, no matter how good a cook you are. It is excellent value for money, very professionally organised and delivered yet with a personal touch. I have learnt a skill which I have continued to use. So much better than any spa day.

Highly recommend Bake it and Take It! I went for the beginners course and baked some fantastic bread under Jill’s expert tuition including morning rolls and Focaccia. The setting is fabulous and Jill and Gary make the day perfect. I’ve used the techniques I learned since and my bread turned out just as good so for anyone wanting to learn or improve, these courses are for you! Lunch was fab and I can’t wait to go back in February for the advanced course. The courses were bought for my 50th birthday and I couldn’t have had a better time…… thanks Jill and Gary!

Very worthwhile Basic Bread Making Course. I learnt a lot during the day from the excellent tutor, Jill. Every question I asked was answered during the day and I never felt that my questions were trivial. The proof of the good tutoring came to the fore when I tried some of the recipes at home and the results were very good. The course taught me not to afraid and try different recipes again with good results. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to know more about bread making even if you have some experience already. Fantastic day and a worthwhile present from my family who are now treated to some lovely bread.

The Beginners Bread Making course was extremely enjoyable. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget, Jill and Gary’s friendly and professional manner made us feel very welcome and at ease. The added extras such as cookies, lunch (delicious – quiche followed by lemon and poppyseed cake), apron and recipe book were an added bonus. We have definitely been inspired and can’t wait to fly solo with our bread making at home!
